Pope Francis: Through Faith, Mourning Loss of Loved Ones Can Strengthen Family Bonds | ZENIT – The World Seen From Rome

n facing the death of a loved one, “many families show that death does not have the last word.”

These were the words of Pope Francis during his weekly General Audience address in St. Peter’s Square. The Holy Father continued his catechetical series on the family, reflecting on the sufferings endured by families who have lost a loved one.

“Death is an experience that affects all families, without any exception,” he said. “It is a part of life; and yet, when it touches family affections, death is never able to be seen as something natural.”

Regarding the death of a child, the Pope said that for parents, the experience can be “heartbreaking” and seems to “contradict the elementary nature of the relationship that gives meaning to the family itself.”

The Jesuit Pope recalled the parents he meets with during Mass at Casa Santa Marta, who show him pictures of their sons or daughters who have passed away.

He chatted and quickly examined my neck.

I’m all for first amendment rights, but seriously? What kind of moron puts this on his car? A BMW with a homemade bumper sticker was seen with “Shoot a Cop” plastered on the back in the form of a homemade bumper sticker.

While there are questions about whether this is okay, the real issue should be that it’s a sign that the race pimps are succeeding. It’s becoming the new knockout game. Before you’d just go up to an unsuspecting person and beat the ever loving crap out of him. Now it’s fashionable to commit the murder of a police officer. And it’s so chic that it’s plastered everywhere, including on the back of a BMW.
