#LoveWins who would argue against love?

I have to assume that some people are going to have a speckled nutty when they read this. I also feel safe in assuming that some people are going to quote the scripture where Jesus says, judge not and you will not be judged.Got it. I am not a homophobe-the word is made up. I am not saying if you have a disorder-such as same sex attraction-that you are going to hell. For one,i have no way of knowing. For another, my own past is nothing to write home about. I do know that in order to get right and live right you have to come to realize that some things are wrong. You have to know that something as sacred as matrimony is not to  be played with.It would also be good to realize that the justices of the Supreme Court had no business issuing a decree, especially one that violates moral law.

Love wins what? Marriage is not the prize at the end of the rainbow. It’s also called Holy Matrimony. As a covenant it has been around since the beginning of time-when the human race, male and female, became one body.

Without that unity->no human race.We would not be here. Not you,not me,not our parents and their parents.
Our founding fathers-Christians-did not include any pronouncements re marriage in our Declaration of Independence or Constitution because they didn’t have to. It was understood.

They understood that marriage consisted of a man and a woman who became husband and wife. When the husband and wife had children it was understood that they became a family. Two men and two women would never have occurred to them. It would never have occurred to the citizens at large. They had one problem with the Mormons(LDS) because of a practice of polygamy;but even they were not permitted to join the union UNTIL they were willing to forgo the practice.
Again, because it was understood that marriage was between 1 man/ 1 woman.
The history of statehood for Utah: http://www.ilovehistory.utah.gov/topics/statehood/index.html

1852
LDS church authorities announced in public that some Mormons were practicing plural marriage. The rest of the country was SHOCKED. During the next 38 years, polygamy pretty much kept Utah from gaining statehood.
1856

Mormons wrote another “state” constitution. But by then, people in the East were very upset about polygamy. The Republicans said it was barbaric, and a “twin” of slavery. Utah’s representatives decided not to ask for statehood right then.

IMHO and what i have witnessed since the SCOTUS ruling(more on that later)the only reason i can honestly see for gay activists to push same sex ‘marriage’ was as much for acceptance as for the legal rights they would obtain.
There are several problems inherent with this agenda:
1. an unjust law is not going to compel anyone to accept this.It is NOT a marriage and no amount of verbal engineering from the Supreme Court or anyone else is going to make it so.
2. it will give activists the right to deliberately seeks services from persons they KNOW will not violate their own conscience-just to prove a point and inflict damage.
3. what the gay agenda was really all about was not so much marriage as acceptance of a disordered lifestyle.

4. Some of us witnessed gay ‘pride’ parades. Some of us saw the images that got around the internet. There were children attending some of these parades and what was on parade was shameful and degenerate.

5. Our president put the rainbow on display at the people’s house and that was a purely political statement. He had no business doing it. It’s not HIS house. It’s our house and he’s supposed to represent ALL citizens. The Obama admin spent more time on twitter putting out messages re the LGBT community they supported than a single word for all the Americans we lost to ISIS or to natural disasters. He didn’t even have the decency to put up a red, white and blue display to honor our Independence Day. Speaks volumes. He’s a MARXIST-clearly a secular humanist who associated with domestic terrorist William Ayers and his co conspirator wife Bernadine Dohrn.

6. Religious liberty will be attacked under the guise of so called discrimination. There are no protections for people of conscience. You can be sure they-people of conscience- will stand up and if enough people do stand up we will be heard. Unfortunately Obama has done more to divide an already divided country than any previous president-even Bush, who was called THE most divisive President in history.NONSENSE.

do not

Marriage is self giving. Your body speaks a truth about your heart, mind and soul.Your heart, mind and soul is expressed through your body and to speak love-it must first speak TRUTH.

Marriage is unity. Kennedy wrote,

“in forming a marital union two people become something greater than they once were.”

WRONG; in forming a marital union two people do not become “something greater than they once were” . A marital union(as in UNION)means they become ONE. No union->no marriage.Verbal engineering doesn’t get us there. The abuse of power by the Supreme Court doesn’t get us there. A law suit against people of conscience doesn’t get us there. Nice language by Kennedy;nice language does not replace right thinking.

We don’t compare the civil rights movement of the 60’s with the ‘gay rights’ movement.

The civil rights movement fought racial discrimination by civil disobedience. Race is not a behavior. If you’re white, you’re white. If you’re black, you’re black. If you’re asian, you’re asian. If your parents are mixed race, then you can be one race or another. It’s not the same thing as choosing to act out sexually. We control our actions, not our race. Our dignity is inherent because we are human beings,as in HUMAN RACE. Endowed by our Creator(God)with unalienable rights. That’s regardless of race, gender or ethnicity.

How we act out sexually is another matter. We are in charge of our actions.

We don’t operate on instinct and drive alone.Kennedy took a leap based on his own opinion and the ‘feelings’ of the parties involved. Nothing to do with the Constitution,Declaration  or Bill of Rights.

Here is right thinking from St Pope John Paul II. Take it as a warning. We don’t call good, evil and evil, good.

murdered by a man who attempted to rape her

She died from multiple stab wounds inflicted by her attempted rapist after she refused to submit to him. After his release, Alessandro Serenelli visited Maria’s still-living mother, Assunta, and begged her forgiveness. Serenelli later became a laybrother of the Order of Friars Minor Capuchin, living in a monastery and working as its receptionist and gardener until dying peacefully in 1970.

Pope Francis visits an old friend in Ecuador

WTLM Autodesk

Guayaquil, Ecuador, Jul 7, 2015 / 12:32 am (CNA).- “Why in the world is the Vicar of Christ coming to me?” said Father Paquito, when asked how he would receive Pope Francis when he visits him in Guayaquil, Ecuador.

The Jesuit priest who in a few days will be 91, was very excited about his get together with his old friend.

Fr. Francisco Cortés, better known as Paquito, was born in Malaga, Spain, July 10, 1924 and came to Ecuador in 1963, serving since then at the Javier School in Guayaquil.

According to El Universal newspaper, the priest met then-Fr. Bergoglio in the early 1980s, when he was the provincial for the Jesuits in Argentina and he visited Ecuador looking for a place to send his novices.

Years later, they met again, when Fr. Paquito traveled to Argentina for the priestly ordination of some Jesuits that he had…

Thousands gather to celebrate Mass with Pope Francis in Ecuador | Fox News

Ecuador Pope selfies

Hundreds of thousands gathered in the city of Guayaquil on Ecuador’s coast Monday to cheer and wave to South America’s first pontiff, Pope Francis, who celebrated Mass with a message of compassion for the weak and forgotten.

In his homily, Francis praised families as the bedrock of society — “the nearest hospital, the first school for the young, the best home for the elderly” — and said miracles are performed every day inside a family out of love. But he said sometimes the love and happiness runs out.

“How many women, sad and lonely, wonder when love left, when it slipped away from their lives?” he asked. “How many elderly people feel left out of family celebrations, cast aside and longing each day for a little love?”
